INDIA GATE

Sir Edwin Lutyens is the name behind the designing of India Gate. Also known as War Memorial it is 42 meters high and bears the names of 85000 soldiers died during the First World War.

The design of India Gate is similar to the design of Arch The Triumph of Paris.

It is located at Rajpath which is about 2.5 Kms from Rashtrapati Bhawan.

JANTAR MANTAR

It is located near the Connaught Place. It was built by Maharaja Swai Jai Singh 2 of Jaipur in 1724. Jantar Mantar is an example of scientific progress of ancient India. This observation deck was completed in 1729.

RASHTRAPATI BHAWAN

The building has been official residence of India since independence. It comprises of 340 rooms which includes 54 bedrooms.

PARLIAMENT HOUSE

The circular building is the set of Indian Government. Herbert Bavar is the name behind the designing of Parliament House.

CONNAUGHT PLACE

Sir Edwin Lutynes is the name behind the designing of Connaught Place. It is a commercial place and also referred as Heart of Delhi.

PRAGATI MAIDAN

Pragati Maidan is the largest business center of India. It is famous for number of fairs of International standard.

RAJ GHAT

It is the samadhi of Mahatma Gandhi. A simple black marble bears “Hey Ram” and a flaim lights continuously.

LAKSHMI NARAYAN TEMPLE AKA BIRLA TEMPLE

Built in 1938 in Orrissan Style industrialist Aditya Birla is the name behind the construction. The man idol of the temple is Goddess Laxmi – Goddess of wealth.
